With 50 years of experience, CompuDAS Control & Monitoring Systems are an ideal solution for updating, upgrading or replacing Control Systems in any Composite Curing Autoclave or Oven.
CompuDAS has broad experience with control and monitoring of the composite curing process. From aerospace to automotive and everything in between, we’ve provided custom Control Systems to more clients in composite manufacture than any other single material. Our Control Systems for the composite material curing process provide custom control, monitoring, & data acquisition for clients producing a wide range of applications under even the most stringent quality control requirements.
CompuDAS has collaborated with clients to design and install Control Systems for composite materials from aerospace and automotive components, to solar panel substrates, carbon coatings for disc brake and other metallic substrates, composition utilizing carbon fibers, composite materials that include silicon carbide matrices, and composite layers for pipes and fittings. CompuDAS Control Systems have applications to literally every composite material, as they are integrated into the machines (autoclaves, ovens, etc.). The impact of the specific material on the design of our Control Systems is about the selection of parameters for control and monitoring. But if it goes into an autoclave, oven, or press we can help you control the process!
Because composite materials are composed of varied constituent materials, the specific physical and chemical properties you need to control and manipulate during your process may vary significantly from other manufacturers. For some of our clients, notably aerospace, reliable tensile and compressive strength, and weight, require variance of less than .001%. For others, producing products at the lowest cost per unit, while maintaining batch-to-batch consistency is key to our clients’ market share. CompuDAS has designed and installed integrated control systems that meet both types of needs for a broad range of product types, including carbon composites, resins, concrete and aerated concrete, reinforced plastics such as fiber-reinforced polymer, metal, and ceramic composites.
CompuDAS has installed composition processing and curing Control Systems for autoclave, out of autoclave, oven and other composite techniques for customers in the most competitive and sensitive trades, including aerospace and automotive manufacture. One reason we do not provide extensive information here on our website about the specifics of particular installations is that many clients prefer that their processes remain confidential. No matter how unique the process, our Control Systems provide the same exacting control, monitoring and data acquisition—and we have a solid history of respecting our clients’ desire to keep their trade secrets, secret.
Once we’ve understood your exact needs for process control, and monitoring, we will set up a custom composite control system that ensures batch to batch consistency suited to the exact materials, processes, and machines you use. To the extent that we must learn how you process and cure your composite materials in order to give you a custom solution that truly meets your needs, CompuDAS maintains the strictest confidentiality.
